Best time of year to take your dog to Palm Springs

The ideal time to visit Palm Springs with your dog is during the cooler months, from November to April.

When everyone else in the US is freezing, it is the perfect temperature for outdoor dining with your dog in Palm Springs.

Fall, winter and spring are more comfortable for outdoor dining and exploring the city with your pup. During the summer months, the heat can be intense, making it difficult to enjoy outdoor activities with your dog.

If you are looking for a dog-friendly summer destination in California, I would recommend places along the coast such as San Diego or Cambria, and save Palm Springs for later.

Every staff member I spoke with at Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs Hotel emphasized how much they love dogs here. They can go everywhere but the swimming pool.

All Kimpton hotels are pet-friendly, but Palm Springs considers itself one of the friendliest of all the branches. They offer pet beds and plenty of treats.

There are no additional pet fees at Kimpton.

They are more welcoming to small dogs (less than 25 lbs) and charge a small fee. However, they suggest calling to see if they can accommodate your pet even if they are larger.
